QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health First Aiders (RQF)
This comprehensive two-day QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health First Aiders (RQF) develpos the knowledge and understanding needed to recoginise and support someone who may be experiencing poor mental health.
The course explores a range of mental health conditions, challenges stigma and develpos the confidence to have supportive conversations, show empathy and signpost individuals towards appropriate support.
Course outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will have developed the knowledge and confidence to:
- Understand mental health and mental ill health.
- Recognise the signs of stree and common mental health conditions.
- Understand conditions including psychosis, bipolar and schizophrenia.
- Recognise harmful coping strategies and signs of suicidal crisis.
- Have supportive conversations with someone experiencing poor mental health.
- Signpost individuals towards appropriate professional support.
- Understand the role of a Mental Health First Aider within the workplace.
- Demonsrtate empathy and apply active listening skills.
Format
- Guided Learning Hours: 12 hours
- Flexible delivery: Can be delivered over two consecutive days or split across separate days to suit organisational needs.
- Learning environment: Delivered in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging open discussion, participation and shared learning.
- Assessment: Learners complete an invigilated multiplt choice assessment.
- Qualification: Ofqual regulated QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health First Aiders (RQF)
- Qualification validity: Three years.

We can deliver this course on a day and time to suit you, at your premises. We can accomodate up to 12 learners (subject to space)

Our Mental Health Awareness Training Courses can be held via Zoom, at your location or at our training centre.
For 3 or more learners we can also come to your venue.
If you have a smaller team then we can hold the day at our Leeds training centre at Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, Pudsey, conveniently located just off the ring road between Bradford and Leeds.
