1 Day First Aid for Mental Health in the Workplace

This one day training course in First Aid for Mental Health in the Workplace will be held at our Leeds training centre at Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, Pudsey , just off the ring road between Bradford and Leeds.

This course is suitable for everyone, but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.

Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.

• Timings: 9.30pm start - 4.30pm finish.

2. What is mental ill-health and how you may be able to recognise it.
3. Reducing stigma
4. Stress and our coping strategies
5. Discussions around identifying common mental health conditions
6. Starting a conversation and improving skills to become an active listener
7. Creating a positive mental health culture in the workplace
8. How to improve your own mental and physical wellbeing.
